Utilizing elegant beads, organic materials such as stones and rock and creating fantasy environments that make beautiful addition to a library or foyer. Gross studied art at Cooper Union Institute in New York City and then moved here in 1999 where she started incorporating sewing into her pieces and developing her 3-D worlds perfect for the imagination.

These pieces are really spectacular as well as an odyssey treat for the mind.

With many accolades coming from around the country Emilio Martinez has featured work in both private and corporate collections. An incredible use of color, space and composition you can feel the primitive style that tells the stories in his paintings. Originally from Honduras, you can fell the action and emotion within his work. If you analyze the work of Emilio, you’ll soon get the just of his childhood memories and his vivid imagination. Certainly work to be admired from someone who has come a long distance, now calling South Florida his home.

Out of the 31 artists featured in this year’s summer event, Kate Helms is someone to watch. Helms ability to capture Florida’s mystical swamp lands with her child-like inflatables and sculptures bring you to another world where she’s will captivate you through digital print and performance. What’s special about this artist is her use of material while incorporating nature in a whimsical atmosphere. Her photography and sculpture will undoubtedly make you think.

The work of sculptor Jonathan Perez and his black acrylic glass membranes would make a statement in any home or office. While the message is confusing to read it’s a spinoff of the St. Augustin textural maps. The incredible display of sun shining through the carved out letters of these installation pieces makes this worth seeing. His style is both bold and handsome while including things like natural sunlight to play within his designs. Interior designers must love this man’s work since these creations work within a room allowing light to shine through illuminating surrounding structures with an odyssey of light, letters and awe inspiring thought.

Abstract artist Claudia Ryan displays character with her paintings. Her sense of composition with lines and scribbles take you through a mind odyssey straight to the soul. Beautiful use of light and darkness with a sense the artist was quite anxious while sketching out her form.
Undoubtedly one of the most skilled watercolorists around Elisabeth Condon. With her subject matter leaning toward tropical flowers and birds, she has a seriously bright side to her paintings. Vivid pinks, greens and yellow seem to fill her palette and would make a nice addition to anyone’s collection.
