Many of our home buyers in the Boca Raton area are investors from other countries such as Canada, South America and Europe. Rather than paying the high cost for a hotel each time they visit, they find buying a second or vacation home more cost effective. There's also a good percentage of our community who travels for business and always looking for efficient means of travel. These international residents and visitors are always seeking alternative means of transportation. Those living opulent lifestyles find flying by jet much more suitable than commercial flying. This blog highlights some reasons chartering a jet is more sensible.

First, let's discuss some of the places you can charter or store your own plane, since many of our residents have them. There are several airports in the Palm Beach and Broward county available for both chartering and storing private planes. The following are a list of airports nearby that you can research in lieu of flying commercial airlines.

- Boca Raton Aiport Authority
- Fort Lauderdale Executive Aiport
- North Palm Beach County Aiport

These three will be your main solutions when seeking an airport nearest to Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Highland Beach and the neighboring areas.
When flying or chartering a private plane you will get far more benefits as you would be flying high-end business class. The perks for this type of transportation are as follows:

- No standing in long TSA lines
- Less time lost during the flight as they provide faster, shorter destination
- Less crowded
- More privacy and security
- Less chance for cancellation or delays

All these benefits make either leisure or business travel more of a pleasure and well worth the money.

Other things to consider when booking a flight with a charter, is the ability to have better food selections. Many of today's commercial airlines no longer provide a meal during the flight. If they do, the food may not be as desirable. Oftentimes private air travel allows these decisions to be made ahead of time for accommodation. Since there are less crew, less crowd and more individual attention means a much more enjoyable experience all around.

Other than the experience let's look at a few of aerospace's elite fleet that you might find in the airports listed above. These jets range from small to heavy cabins. Depending on how far you're flying and with how many passengers will determine the fleet to consider. For instance, large and heavy cabins are great for transoceanic flying. While mid-size to super mid-size offer just the right amount of room for those traveling shorter distances within the U.S.

*For quick trips back and forth throughout the states, a small cabin is enough. Many of our North East and Midwest clients frequent this type of plane. They can fly in a Learjet 40 or 45 that offers the space and room they need for shorter trips or the larger planes when needed. When booking an appointment to see one of our listings, small planes are an excellent choice.
If you're relocating from Europe and bringing the entire family, large cabin jets offers large baggage space. These jets can also seat up to 12 passengers comfortably. These larger class planes tend to be Falcon 2000, Challenger 6-series or the Embraer Legacy.

**While you'll find that most of the newer jets are constructed with innovative amenities, some newer jets are quite exciting.

Featured in Luxury Magazine, and perhaps one of the reasons Virgin Airlines has opted to buy from Boom Technology Aerospace is the Mach 2.2. Both economic value and speed of travel have won the execs at Virgin over big time. Boom claims there will be no business will have days lost in productivity. Since the Mach 2.2 can travel 2.6 times faster than any other airlines this makes flying a breeze. They're building the prototype that will be ready to launch later this year. Undoubdetly, once it's completed these flights will be in high demand.

***Another jet in the making is the Spike Aerospace S-512. This planes engineers are boasting more luxury, innovation and speed than that of their predecessors. This is the ultimate in supersonic jets, still in its early stages. This jet can fly up to 500 mph faster than any civilian aircraft on the market today. The benefit here is it saves about 50% of flying time, meaning if you're a European here to see a property, you can be home in plenty of time for dinner! With all joking aside, these planes are truly remarkable. Especially when you consider the advancements the engineers are placing to develop world-class travel.

****Other than chartering a plane, many of our clients living in this area own private jets. The Boca Raton Authority is the place for storing this type of airliner. The airport was recently indicted in Florida Aviation Business Association for the Entrepreneurial Excellence Hall of Fame. Many of our CEO's and Board members who live in multiple locations find chartering or flying into this airport more convenient. This airport has proven to be community friendly as they're currently working on noise abatement. They received the prestigious award for finding ways to reduce noise created by airplanes flying in and out of the airport.

Other than the many accolades the Boca Airport has received, there are 125 T-hangars available. The airport oversees more than 50,000 flight operations each year. If you own your aircraft, this airport currently has around 295 planes that call this runway home. This makes a great location for our many of our residents who like to travel by way of privacy avoiding crowds.

Boca Raton airport is located close to the Interstate 95, many of the sport and entertainment celebrities use this location. Both celebs and high-profile residents use this airport quickly arriving at hotels or personal properties in the area. This is one of the most convenient locations for many of them, and perhaps a reason why it's frequented so often. The private charter and jets make up around 35% of the planes landing and flying out of this ideal location.
