Luxury Bathroom Boca Raton

When it comes to places like the powder room or bathroom these two rooms are used the most in any home. Since there’s a lot of traffic to these areas, decorating is a must for any homeowner. Whether you’re buying or selling a home, the bathroom is one room that will need your attention.  The trends found online today for bathrooms are sometimes bold, but natural and simplistic.  One would assume that in the luxury market a bathroom would have more amenities. But what we’ve found in our research on this space is it’s quite the opposite.  Here are a few highlights for today’s bathroom trends that you’ll find to be absolutely spectacular!

Powder rooms have some of the most traffic in any home. Today’s newest trends reflect bold patterned wall coverings or textured wall paper.  These rooms tend to be smaller but still remain an important function of the home.  Décor throughout today's luxury homes tend to be clean and minimal with beautiful mirrors that make a statement. Industrial meets natural is another theme that we found to be inviting and popular in smaller spaces like water closets.

One direction that is common among the 2016 bathrooms is creating a living space out of the larger bathrooms.  What you’ll find is chandeliers replacing vanity lights, seating areas and functional appliances adding to the new line of decorating.

The bidet has been making a come-back for some time now.  But there’s definitely more of this feature being added in today’s design-build and planning phases.  Freestanding tubs such as the 'Rachel Tub' are now replacing the standard style tubs installed next to a wall.

Since the freestanding tubs are becoming more sought after in the luxury markets, you’ll also find a separate shower adjacent to the bathtub feature.

Celebrity Kris Jenner recently purchased a home in Calabasas, California with a tub conveniently located in the center of the room.  There is a multitude of cupboard space for each of the Kardashians to put their beauty items. The room is functional and yet continues to be minimalist in flavor.

When it comes to showers, what makes this functional and elegant is the surface.  Many of the vogue styles for today include subway tile that you’ll find covering the walls, floors and in the enclosure to the shower area.  The subway tile seems to be replacing the once popular travertine and marble coverings.  Instead, you'll find that subway tiles are arranged in different patterns but used for back splashes, flooring and walls.

Matching tile, marble and even ceramic wood can be found within these rooms.  This is the course many of the interior designers are incorporating in today’s designs for leisure homes and condominiums. Today's home buyers are more savvy with investing in more long term decorating ideas.  The clean and minimalist look suits many ages but is well suited for the future.

Another feature that you’ll find throughout the newer bathroom compositions is bold mirrors that make a statement.  Mirrored frames, abstract shapes, natural materials like seashells all add to the ambiance of the lavatory.   This is where the decorative flair makes this a room you want to spend time in.  The bathroom doesn’t have to be boring.  This room should have a sense of welcoming and invitation. By utilizing your mirrors as art pieces you're creating an aesthetically pleasing environment, for both you and your guests.

Pebbled shower flooring seems to be catching up finally.  This is a terrific choice and looks chic in coastal homes and beachfront properties.  This look is natural and earthy but is durable and soft on bare feet.

Since the bathroom is a place of peace and serenity, we are seeing more fireplaces and waterfalls incorporated in the design space. These can be bold but should go along with the theme of your decor. If you don’t have a fireplace feature but would like to add one, consider an electric wall mounted fireplace. These look stunning in any room, especially the bathroom.

Today’s fixtures like sink faucets and shower heads give the room a contemporary feel with the newer waterfall types.  These come in a variety of colors and finishes but add to your motif.  For ideas it’s great to check places such as Houzz.com and Haute Living Magazine.

Elegant and peaceful lighting is great while soaking in a hot tub, but when you want to have extra light for doing things like shaving and putting on makeup it’s a good to have lighting that’s adjustable. Look for alternatives that are suitable and can be easily adjusted with a switch or remote control.

Today’s smart home include several features that are ideal for the bathroom area.  Depending on the system that you have installed in your home, you can adjust the floor heat, the lighting and if there’s speakers, the music that you’d like playing while indulging in a hot tub. Companies such as Audio Tech Design can update any home to be a 'smart home' making your home user friendly even when you're not there.

If you’re remodeling your bathroom and would like to add some highlights, adding an innovative item like Dyson’s Airblade Tap can be just the detail that puts everyone over the edge.  This is an incredible faucet because it washes and dries the hands without getting water on the floor! Small touches like this can make the bathroom shout with ‘Wow’ factor.

You can see from these luxury condominium buildings located in Townsend Place, built in 1998  and 2003, they've used many of the trending features and design concepts listed above.  In each bathroom there is matching tile a minimalist and natural style and they’ve included several modern fixtures as well as oversized mirrors that create a statement.  This is the flair that 2016 bathroom designers are bragging about.

For today's market the trends are leaning toward a more simplistic style that is functional and still offers a chance to be excited about one of the most frequented rooms in the home.  With a little innovation like adding a fireplace or updating your faucets, your home can take on that same look.  The key to remember with what’s trending is that you still have to include your individual style.  A home isn’t a home without a personalized touch.  The best trends are the ones you create. You can be sure that utilizing the clean-minimalist look into your home decorating will keep your friends complimenting you on your sense of style for years to come. Because this look is timeless and appeals to almost every age, it's a sure-fire winner that will be around for a long time.
