With Independence Day just around the corner, Boca Raton is ready to shine. From oceanfront picnics to fireworks under the stars, our beautiful city offers the perfect backdrop for celebrating America’s birthday.
Whether you're heading to the beach, a backyard gathering, or a city-sponsored event, here's how to enjoy the holiday—safely, smartly, and in style.
Fireworks & Festivities at Spanish River Park
One of Boca’s biggest holiday traditions is the annual Fourth of July celebration at the Spanish River Athletic Complex (1000 NW Spanish River Blvd.).
Gates open at 5:30 PM, and the fireworks begin at 9:00 PM sharp.
Expect live music, family activities, food trucks, and thousands of neighbors enjoying the night together.
Arrive early—parking fills up fast and good spots go quickly.
Beach Days Done Right
Prefer your fireworks with a sea breeze? Boca’s beaches are a local favorite on the Fourth.
Whether it’s volleyball near South Beach Pavilion or a picnic at Red Reef Park, the shoreline offers a more relaxed way to celebrate.
Just be sure to check the weather, pack plenty of water, and keep your celebrations safe and legal—private fireworks are restricted within city limits.
Quick Safety Reminders
Skip the DIY fireworks. Boca PD recommends attending official displays instead of lighting your own.
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. July heat is no joke—bring water, especially if you’ll be out all day.
Use sun protection. Sunscreen, hats, and shade make a big difference.
Plan for parking. Expect traffic near major events. Carpool or use rideshare apps to make life easier.
Celebrate With Respect
As we mark the birth of our nation, let’s also remember what makes Boca Raton special: a strong, thoughtful community.
Clean up after your party, keep noise down after hours, and be mindful of others around you.
A little courtesy goes a long way—and ensures we all enjoy a safe, memorable July 4th.
Have a fantastic Fourth, Boca Raton!
