Spending the Holidays in Boca Raton is magical. From the giant tree lighting at Mizner Park Amphitheater to the Holiday Street Parade, you can find the community coming together to celebrate. If you’ve been seeking a South Florida city where you can invest in property this is the place for you. Especially if you love the ongoing events happening year around this beautiful city. Here’s your line up for the events happening around town for the month of December where you can see just how much fun living here can be.

December 1

The Music Man Boca Raton will perform the Wick Theater and Costume Museum. Marilyn Wick spent a lifetime collecting Broadway wardrobes where she and her sister Kimberly have curated a museum with the largest collection of costumes. If you don’t make it to the show, be sure to visit this venue full of surprises.

Gather up the kiddos to go see Santa. Good ole’ St. Nic, will be at the Town Center in Boca Raton off Glades Road. Be sure to check the link for dates and times and check the weather. This is an outdoor experience for the whole family.

December 4

The City Council is inviting residents and volunteers to a “Beautification Committee” meeting. These meetings are always informational as the community finds new ways to make the city look even better incorporating landscaping, outdoor art and more. You’ll also learn to prune properly as the experts offer tips and tricks to make your gardening easier with good results.

December 5

If you love attending parties then scoot over to Delray Beach at 5:30 PM for a fun evening as they do their 100-ft Christmas Tree Lighting with all the festivities. This is a fantastic event where you can bring the kids and the grandkids and is fun for all ages. Beautiful music keeping you in the seasonal mood, will fill the air as they switch the lights to on for the city and its residents. You can still attend if you are a guest and be sure to gather all your friends to see this gorgeous traditional ceremony. Afterwards you can find more entertainment at the local diners, pubs and lounges. People from around the world know Delray Beach as one of South Florida’s premier destinations.

December 6

The Addison will host its St. Nicholas Gala at the Black-Tie affair will be lively with dancing and dinner. You’ll want to make your reservations right away as this is an event that sells out. The cause is to raise money for St. Gregory’s Outreach and its ministries. Be sure to visit for a bit. Party starts at 6:00 PM and will last till 10:00 PM. The Addison is a beautiful upscale community with big hearts for taking care of their own.

December 7

40th Annual Jewish Family Services Gala will help shine celebrating life, hope and humanity. This event takes place at Boca West Country Club off Boca West Drive, just West of the-95. Help raise money while having a good time supporting this worthy organization of philanthropists.

December 7

The angelic sounds of Maureen McGovern fills the stage and audience at the Mizner Park Cultural Center of Boca Raton. The gold-record winner will help raise your thoughts with her beautiful voice. You’ll recognize almost every song as she belts them out to her fans. This is a magical event you’ll want to share with someone special.

December 11

Holiday Street Parade will begin at 7:30 PM and starts at the corner of Federal Highway and 5th Street. The procession will lead to Mizner Park where you can grab dinner or a snack and enjoy the holiday sounds. The parade has 70-floats entered this year and will be full of entertainers and more! Don’t miss this awesome event that will warm your heart with the holiday spirit.

December 15

Speaking of parades, one of the most alluring is the Holiday Boat Parade which offers dynamic scenery of yachts and other vessels decorated for the season. You can watch these ships float by off the Intracoastal Waters and the C-15. The party continues going after the parade at Red Reef Park and will include live entertainment, food and beverages and tons of socializing! Grab a friend and don’t miss this celebration, best part is you can wear your shorts and won’t need to bundle up.

December 16–17

The Wick Theater is the venue to be as the Artists Radio Theater performs their version of “A Christmas Carol” for you and your guests. The show begins at 8:00 PM and should fascinate as they record the live performance on the airwaves.

December 18

For those of you who own jets or small planes, the Boca Raton Airport Authority will conduct a meeting at 2:00 PM to discuss operations and other ways to improve the facility. The 70-year-old airport is home for many Boca Ratonians. Some topics they will tackle will be U.S. Customs and Border Control and their Wings of Freedom for students. You can access the airport from a few ways but the most convenient is off the-95 corridor.

December 23

Florida University will close for the Christmas vacation. Be sure to have your students fill out their paperwork early for the Spring Semester ahead. In the meantime, be sure to plan your holiday time safely.
