Traditionally, South Floridians living in Boca Raton, Florida, stay indoors during August.
With temperatures exceeding 90° and sometimes overwhelming humidity the locals prefer to spend more time out of the heat and sun. However, just as our friends adapt to the cold during winter months, Boca Ratonians adapt to the climate just the same. Moreover, the heat doesn’t keep them from enjoying all the activity helping everyone to stay calm. Here’s a list of events for August that can guide you when finding something to do during this time of year.

August 1 –

If you’re into philanthropy, then the Boca Chamber Festival Days are for you. This unique event hosted by the Boca Chamber of Commerce is set to meet goals and raise funding for their charities throughout the month beginning with the 1st. Both members and non-members are encouraged to join in the fun where they’ll visit several local businesses in the area where the venues will offer drink and food specials to help raise money and awareness for the Chamber’s many charitable causes.

August 3 –

Food Truck Night continues at Diamonds by Raymond Lee. There’s no question, Boca Raton residents love to eat and celebrate good food and drink. Food Truck Night is a monthly event including live entertainment and a variety of incredible edible foods. This is an excellent way for you to get to know the culture and communities. Especially handy for those of you who are thinking about buying a home. Regardless, you can help support local businesses and have a good time.

August 4 –

Dine Out Downtown Delray Restaurant Week 2019

Just a short distance from Boca Raton in Delray Beach where you can enjoy some gourmet and classic cuisines. The Dine Out Downtown Delray is an extraordinary event that helps promote local businesses and bring the community together. From Lobster to Mai Tai’s, this should be a superior celebration, including sunset dinners and more. If you’re a food connoisseur, this is the event you don’t want to miss.

Aug 5th-9th

Do you think your child wants to be the next YouTube sensation or superstar? During August, your kid can attend the Create Summer Camp where he or she will learn how to operate a video camera, do proper lighting and use a green screen to film the popular video app production. The skills your son or daughter will take away will help them with creating mini-movies and build confidence. August 7 –

After enjoying Food Truck Night, you can burn off some calories with Zumba at Steelpan. While Steelpan Kitchen & Bar is in Fort Lauderdale, you can get to the venue via A1A or I-95 corridor. Also, this is an evening class so the weather should be comfortable during your salsa moves. Besides, those who attend the course get a complimentary cocktail to cool off.

August 15 –

Caymus Wine Dinner at Tanzy should be a real hoot! If you haven’t been to this eclectic and inspiring venue, then you’re in for a real treat. The alluring atmosphere includes an indoor tree lounge, exotic lighting, and the perfect environment for a wine dinner. Aug 16th – 17th

We’re excited to announce the 1st annual Boca Block Party held at WISH on Mizner Boulevard. Live music, a nightclub atmosphere, and a hub for the party activity, this latest indoor/outdoor event will be a huge success. Don’t let age deter you from attending as there are 2 VIP stages and tents to help you celebrate in style. Wish is a dance and nightclub found at Royal Palm Plaza. Famous DJ’s and local bands bring in the excitement where you can let your hair down and enjoy. Be sure to stop in for a drink and a chance to socialize with the locals.

August 18 –

The Mermaid Open Swim at Spanish River Park will be on Sunday, August 18. Participants will raise money for a former mermaid who was an integral part of the organization and has since Jill Levy Heather Morris passed suddenly during a triathlete race in Quebec. The swimming race will undoubtedly help the Levy family with current financial struggles. We hope everyone can show their support or donate on the website’s portal.

August 19 –

Musikgarten and More Boca” will host an organic movement class for those with infants and toddlers. The family event is one where parent and child are enlightened and stimulated with music and exercise. Parents with babies 6 months up to age 3 are encouraged to come by this rare event where you’ll be boosting your child’s musical awareness and motor skills. Attendees will receive some cute goodies such as a parent’s guidebook, wooden rattles, and a small instrument kit to keep your baby moving and grooving.

August 28 –

Inspiring Alignable Network Group will meet in person at the Royal Palm Office Park Center for a chance to hob-knob with business professionals and your followers on the social platform “Alignable.” The event’s host will provide food and drinks for ticket prices. There’s also free parking and should be a ton of fun with all Alignable guests coming from the region and not just Boca Raton. Expand your network and get the goods on both private and public businesses driving South Florida’s economic growth.

As you can conclude, both Boca Raton and South Florida offer a tremendous amount of activity for every age.
