When it comes to health and fitness, Boca Raton is a community that revels in eating well, exercising and holistic living. Could it be possible that so many people who move here are looking for the opportunity to live long and live the good life? For people looking to buy a home, finding one where there are activity and lifestyles that provide longevity of well-being seem to be common amongst those who are in the luxury markets. In this blog, we will show you multiple examples of why Boca Raton and the neighboring areas are ideal destinations for people seeking to live well and be happy.

In just about every luxury condominium found in Boca Raton, you’ll also find an athletic center, swimming pools and a multitude of places to promote your health. Boca Raton is a mecca for youth and people striving to maintain their youthfulness. Very few places allow smoking in the area which may mean that more businesses are respecting the well-being of others. Tennis and golf are two of the main sports you’ll see people indulging year around, making this area one that is the signature for those seeking a healthy living. Did we mention the Farmer’s Markets in both Boca Raton and Delray Beach that allow consumers to buy organically grown products? If you look around, you’ll quickly realize Boca Raton is one place whose residents dive deep into staying fit.

Speaking of diving, if you hadn’t noticed, the Ocean and all the aquatic centers are excellent resources for people wanting to pursue water sports. One game that we highly recommend that has been adopted from Hawaii is that of stand-up paddleboarding. While this is quite popular in today’s culture, you’ll find people enjoying the sport on the ocean, Intracoastal, and other waterways. The Spanish River Paddle Company of Boca Raton offers lessons and rentals if you’re trying it for the first time. This is an excellent way to stay in shape with the upper and lower body workout. Paddleboarding is also a great way to see wildlife and connect with nature. Whether you’re here on vacation or live here full time, we think you’ll become hooked.

If you’re looking to work on your hook and slice, then perhaps a round of golf is more of your speed? Boca Raton has a multitude of golf courses from championship to executive and everything in between. If you’re living in one of our many country club communities, chances are you’re already privy to what’s happening on the fairways. For those who are relocating, and are interested in learning more about local associations, please visit www.ci.boca-raton.fl.us. There're some great resources right at your fingertips directly from the City of Boca Raton.

Another excellent resource for health and fitness centers found throughout the city would be the Lifetime Athletic Club located at Military Trail and Yamato Road. If you’re looking for a place to socialize while sweating, this is a good center that offers everything from free weights to Pilates. If your condo association or the country club isn’t the right fit for you, this might be a good alternative. They have a spa for salon type of services, a professional lap pool and offer both physical and chiropractic therapy.

Your wellness doesn’t stop at the gym. Boca Raton is a hub for finding the right doctors as well. Many of the physicians and their facilities receive prestigious awards for focusing efforts toward a healthier community. For instance, Boca Home Care, Inc and Home Care Elite were recipients of national awards for their Acute Care Hospitalization. They received better than 90% compared to other Medicare agencies throughout the United States. While this is only one award, you can easily find accolades in just about every category for medical accomplishments in our town.

If you’re not too concerned with medical attention now and are looking for athletic activities, try one of the many Yoga studios in the area. Bikram’s Yoga located in the Shops of Boca on South Powerline is the perfect place for your practice. They offer both Bikram and Hatha to enhance stamina, breathing and toning muscles. While we suggest a visit, we do agree to check with your health care provider for best results.

While we’ve never worked with this facility we have heard some splendid things. Real Health and Fitness not only focuses on your body composition; they are also knowledgeable in offering nutrition services. Eating right is 75% of the battle against the bulge. Most people from affluent populations have known this for years. However, even guys like Donald Trump enjoy Kentucky Fried Chicken occasionally! While we don’t support fat and greasy food, we do think it’s good to know your worth when it comes to food intake.

There are several places to do your shopping for food in our neighborhoods. Places such as Whole Foods and our local Farmers Markets are perfect for buying organically grown produce, products that are fat and gluten-free among several other beneficial dietary requirements. Eating a proper meal is like putting oil in your car. The higher the grade of food, the chances are the more nutrition you’ll be getting causing a happier you.

If you’re looking to be happy, which most of us are, then seek places that can assist you with stress-free approaches. For instance, City Walk at Pineapple Grove and Townsend Place are both near spas that can help alleviate stress. These places have amenities from both Eastern and Western medicine such as massage and aromatherapy. A little pampering is never going to get old. If you’re moving to Boca Raton, this is the best time to allow yourself a break from the move. Just think of how much easier it will be to focus on unpacking after an hour-long treatment.

With all the places and elements of developing health strategies found in “The City for All Seasons,” we recognize this is a town where people can maintain their health care. Whether you’re seeking a place to be social or you’re looking for private sessions with a trainer, Boca Raton has it all. Perhaps we didn’t make it to the top of the list. But, Boca Raton is noted number 11 as WebMD’s healthiest U.S. cities. (Not bad out of 184) Whether we’ve made it to the top of the list or not, we do agree that for those seeking to buy property in a health-conscious neighborhood, we should be one of the first to consider.
