Boca Raton Events for November 2019

As we’re wrapping up the 2019 4th quarter, Boca Raton is offering plenty of activities for residents and visitors alike. This time of year, Florida starts to cool off, but the events are hot with tons of entertainment. Here’s the list for you to add some of these exciting celebrations to your calendar for the month of November.

Nov 2nd – 2nd Annual Delray Beach Yoga Festival

Get your ‘downward dog’ in position and share your practice with the Annual Yoga Fun Day in Delray Beach. You can join up with the rest of the yogis and get a good stretch at Old School Square for two days enjoying a spa like atmosphere including musical arrangements and a kid zone if you’re looking to bring the whole family. Another fascinating part of the event is the drum circle that is held on Sunday night at dusk from 5-7 PM followed by an after-party celebration. The event is by far a healthy way to say goodbye to old habits you may have been accumulating over the 2019 year.

Nov 3rd – St. Jude Catholic Church

The St. Jude Fall Festival will include tons of family-fun with carnival rides, a silent auction and bingo for all ages. In addition, the fundraiser showcases local and live music for extra entertainment and dancing. Country Music Star, Ricky Valido will perform his latest hits for the crowd to raise money for supporting local families in need. Be sure to note, the festival begins October 31st and ends on November 3rd and is an excellent way to enjoy the fall with your friends and family. You don’t have to be a member of the church to join or volunteer where they’re currently seeking people to help. Reach out to the St. Jude directly if you’re looking to be one of the helpers.

Nov 5th – 2019 Cheribund Boca Raton Bowl Great Chefs Tailgate Showcase

If you’re a fan of tailgating and love to cook, you won’t want to miss this inspiring event. You’ll be joining some of ESPN’s radio talk show personalities and a huge crowd of talented chefs who love crafting things such as beer to ribs. There will be close to 20 – competitors such as Tucker Duke’s Lunchbox, Due South Brewing and Cinnaholic Gourmet Cinnamon Rolls. This is an excellent way to get out and meet the community for a good cause. The proceeds they collect are donated to Spirit of Giving and Annual Holiday Gift Drive. This year’s fundraiser is looking to help up to 4,000 underprivileged children living in the Palm Beach County area. See you there!

Nov 5th – Kiwanis and Reeds Rainbow Run 5K Fundraiser

The Kiwanis Club is always doing good for the community in which they serve. This year’s 5K fundraiser will be collecting donations for scholarships given to the homeless and foster care students. The colorful event is focusing on honoring Boca Raton’s Dick Reed. Dr. Reed was principal for both Boca Raton High School and Middle School who is also the founder of the annual marathon. Nov 8th – Junior League of Boca Raton Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon

Junior League of Boca Raton is hosting a Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon. This important and prestigious celebrations will recognize women who have used their philanthropy for the benefit of others throughout Palm Beach County. In honor of these hard-working women they will also include a party with a Saks 5th Avenue pop-up shop for those who are attending. Besides the festivities it’s important to bear in mind, how important the nominees are to Boca Raton’s community. If you can’t attend the event, be sure to support them online and let them know how much they’re appreciated.

Nov 9th Boca Raton Wine & Food Festival

Don’t miss this exciting gathering at Sanborn Square Park on November 9th. Bring your appetite and wet your whistle with delicious food and wine pairings. Food from around the globe will be the highlight of this fund non-profit for People Reaching Out to Provide Education and Leadership. In addition to the charitable cause, you’ll have the opportunity to eat and drink till your heart and stomach are full. Enjoy meeting local chefs who have a knowledge of world cuisines and some of the best grapes in the region.

Nov 9th – Fall Art on the Square Delray Beach

Before attending the Boca Raton Wine & Food Festival be sure to take a stroll in Delray Beach at the Fall Art on the Square event. You can take in some excellent scenery while supporting local artists and craftsmen and women. The walkable event includes live entertainment, fantastic items from all medias and you’re in one of the most exciting cities in South Florida. Bring the whole family or take in the day with a friend either way you’ll be enjoying this memorable Cornell Art Museum exhibit.

Nov 10th Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Over 5.8 million Americans of ALL ages are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. With such staggering statistics, you can imagine the amount of work and research the medical communities are needing to combat this form of dementia. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s starts at Mizner Park Amphitheater and is free to the public but you can make donations to the organization directly. If you or someone you know has had to face the issues of dementia with a family member, you know how difficult the disease can be and this event will help those to heal as they know they’re not alone. Be sure to check out this important cause.

Nov 30th – The 20th Annual Downtown Delray Beach Thanksgiving Art Festival

If there’s any community that is strong together, it’s our neighbors at Delray Beach. Each year they host the biggest Thanksgiving art festival at downtown for the entire weekend. You won’t want to forget or miss this event as the streets will be filled with local painters, sculptors and crafts. By attending this event you’re supporting small business owners and artists alike and it’s a terrific way to end the month.
