April Fool’s Day and More Ways to Share Your Mischief Making

Besides the traditional pranks, there are a lot of other ways you can share your mischief-making in the town of Boca Raton. The Month of April delivers Spring Fest, incredible music and a whole other slew of good times. Get your calendar ready and start planning with our monthly blog on events for Boca Raton and nearby neighborhoods.

April 2nd –

For those of you who are entrepreneurial or are thinking about starting a business, you may want to attend the “Scaling Up Business Workshop – South Florida". This seminar showcases Jennifer Walzer Berkowitz who is the Founder of R&J Advisory Group. This is a seminar-workshop for you to learn valuable strategies that have been Berkowitz’s success.

April 2nd –

Get a tour of FAU and prepare your college-aged student for a vibrant future. The visits help you and your undergraduate familiarize with the layout of the school. Even if your kid is not ready to attend college for a few years, you will be enlightened and educated on the tropical campus and what type of programs are available for the university. April 5th – 6th-

If you consider yourself a ‘foodie’ then have we got a surprise for you? Boca Bacchanal is a fundraising celebration of delightful bites, superior chefs and of course an exciting collection of wine and spirits. You can enjoy the entire day tantalizing your taste buds and learning about the historical values of world-class cuisine. All proceeds help to fund the Boca Raton Historical Society & Museum. April 6th –

The city of Boca Raton hosts the annual Spring Fest with an entire line up of activity for the whole family. Bring the kiddoes to hunt for Easter Eggs, hang out with the Easter Bunny and of course enjoy some local cuisines and live entertainment. This traditional event also includes Food Trucks from various vendors to keep your taste buds humming to the sweet sound of spring. Be sure to dress according to the weather as the heat is rising and rain storms are frequent this time of year. I hope you enjoy this blossoming party!

April 7th –

If you require a good laugh why not check out some local performers who will delight you in “King Solomon & His 700 Wives”. Tavern at the Wick is located off North Federal Highway in Boca Raton making it an ideal location for checking out some of the talents. Besides thespians on stage, you can check out the costume museum and learn a bit about history with Broadway designers and a spectacular display of costumes. Our incredible city is full of surprises which makes it a desirable town for your second or primary real estate venture.

April 7th –

There are still a few seats left for the High Tea Party Fundraiser to End Alzheimers. This unique mingle session will be enjoyed by the many donors looking to create more awareness and research for the cause. Statistically speaking 1 in 10 people over the age of 65 will acquire some type of the disease and needs a cure. April 13th –

The Royal Palm & Yacht Club will be hosting a Monopoly Game Championship to raise money for Boca Helping Hands. You do not need to be a member of the country club to join the Palm Beach County Residents with such a worthy cause. Proceeds will help around 1100 students with school items and food programs when they are less fortunate. The activities are plenty with a Casino Night, drinks and hors d’ oeuvres as well as some dancing with a DJ spinning your favorite tunes! You won’t want to miss this formal event. Get your tickets early so you can partake in one of the most generation groups around town.

April 28th –

In case you were unaware, the black soil found in the Palm Beach region produces some of the best corn in the country. Therefore, you can expect that South Floridians will be excited to celebrate this awesome veggie with a few laughs, some music and tons of food at the 18th Annual Sweet Corn Fiesta. Get your family ‘buttered up’ and head down to the South Florida Fair to enjoy plenty of fun activities such as rides, live music and a corn eating competition!

April 30th –

We’re happy to announce Gumbo Limbo will be gathering nature lovers to the Sea Turtle Talk. The rehabilitation center will be sharing important info and stories on our reptilian friends and is an excellent opportunity for young students and biologists to learn more about these beautiful sea creatures. Since we live on the Atlantic Coast, these marine animals thrive on the beaches of Boca Raton and South Florida. It’s important to understand what you can do to help preserve the safety of marine-life keeping our ocean friends safe.

April 1-30th –

West Palm Beach is another nature lover’s hub for learning about oceanic animals such as the manatee. Since Boca Raton consists of waterways such as canals like the Intracoastal, often you can see these giant critters lounging. Places where you see Manatee Protection Zones enforce strict rules of no wake on your boats and yachts to protect the animals.
